Sample Itinerary for Italy Art Vacation

Day 1

Arrive at Milan’s Malpensa airport. A driver has been arranged and will meet you outside of the customs area and take you to your hotel.

Day 2

3:30pm – Last Supper reservations (reservation number 722243).

Day 3

Take the train from Milan to Varenna – see train schedule in packet. While in Varenna you can take a ferry to Bellagio and other points along the lake.

Day 5

Take the train from Varenna to Verona. I suggest you take a taxi from the Verona train station to Hotel Torcolo.

Day 6

Take the train from Verona to Venice’s Santa Lucia Station. See train schedule in packet. While in Venice visit San Marco square, the Duomo, bell tower, and Doges’ Palace. You can also take a vaparetto to the island of Murano to see glass blowing.

Day 8

Take the train from Venice to Rome

Day 9

9:00am tour of the Vatican – you will me met by a driver for the tour at your hotel. Tour will include central Rome, Vatican, Coliseum and Roman Forum.

Day 12

Take the train from Rome to Florence.

Day 13

10:00am reservations for the Uffizi Gallery.

Day 14

10:00am reservations for the Accademia Museum.

Day 15

Depart Florence airport (the hotel will arrange a transfer to the airport).
